Our flagship offering, the Administrator Leadership Program (ALP) is an immersive leadership training experience designed to transform seasoned long-term care professionals into knowledgeable, skilled administrators.
Foundational training for new long-term care administrators
ALP is a comprehensive, hybrid training program that combines a two-day in-person Leadership Foundations Forum with seven live, online learning modules, on-demand videos, independent reading, and a group project.

Essential topics for new leaders
ALP program offers a comprehensive curriculum that introduces all of the core concepts you’ll encounter as a new LTC administrator, ranging from legislation and compliance, to operations, QI, and fiscal oversight.
Ministry Recognition
ALP meets the requirements for administrators of 100 hours of instruction time in long-term care home administration/management under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021.
Verifiable Digital Credential
Graduates receive a verifiable digital credential that can be shared on LinkedIn and easily validated by third parties, including employers and Ministry inspectors.

From foundational education and peer networking to mentoring and real-world case studies, ALP sets you up for success.
One-hour virtual orientation to meet your instructors, connect with fellow participants, and receive an overview of the program expectations, workload, and responsibilities.
Two-day, in-person Leadership Foundations Forum featuring dynamic presentations, hands-on learning activities, and meaningful networking opportunities with instructors and peers.
Seven live, online training sessions covering the seven vital competencies of long-term care administrators, from strategic thinking and communication to HR and financial literacy.
On-demand videos and assigned reading to be completed independently at a time and pace that works for you. Students will also be required to complete short journal entries.
Students will be assigned to groups at the outset of the program and will work collaboratively to complete a group case study assignment.
All students will take part in a live, online presentation day, during which each group will present their case study and explain how they’ve solved the challenges presented.
